GOPC is Ohio’s champion for revitalization and sustainable growth. We advance strong local economies and community revitalization across Ohio by equipping communities and leaders with place-based research, collaboration, and advocacy.
Our work is based on four strategic priorities. These issues guide our research, consulting work with local communities, and our advocacy efforts at the Ohio Statehouse. All four priorities focus on ways to use land sensibly in Ohio.
We want Ohioans to make land use choices that support and revitalize communities, and do not encumber taxpayers with long term, expensive operating costs.

2027-28 Policy Platform
GOPC’s 2027-28 public policy agenda, Revitalizing Ohio: A Blueprint for Stronger Communities, outlines a bold agenda for Ohio’s next Governor and legislature Ohio’s competitive assets and provides the tools needed to build stronger communities and a thriving, prosperous future.
Ohio Candidate Questions
The November 2026 General Election features the election of a new Governor and the majority of seats in the Ohio General Assembly. Each election cycle, GOPC prepares questions supporters and advocates can address to candidates about issues central of our goal of a revitalized Ohio.
