GOPC is excited to announce a new, free service available to Ohio communities: Virtual Office Hours for Pre-Approvals.
Pre-Approvals, or pre-approved plans programs, are gaining momentum in Ohio as a tool to increase housing production. Through such a program, local governments pre-review architectural designs so they are ready for expedited permitting, reducing uncertainty and cost for developers. If your community is interested in exploring this tool, but is unsure where to start or has questions, we encourage you to come to our monthly office hours, the final Tuesday of each month at 9:00AM ET.
Each session will begin with a 10-minute presentation on a focused topic with the remaining time reserved for your questions on anything pre-approval-related. We welcome local governments, land banks, CDCs, private developers or anyone curious about these programs to attend.
Thanks to generous sponsorship by the Ohio REALTORS, office hours are offered free of charge and communities can attend as many as they’d like.
