GOPC to Host Pair of Networking Conferences in 2026

GOPC is excited to announce that in 2026, we are expanding our roster of hosted conferences to include two statewide events to take place in Central Ohio!

On May 6, GOPC, in partnership with the Ohio EPA, is excited to announce it will host the 2026 Ohio Brownfields Conference on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026. For additional details and to sign-up to receive conference updates, please visit OhioBrownfields.com.

The 2026 Ohio Brownfields Conference will be at the spacious Quest Conference Center in Westerville, Ohio (near Polaris, off I-71) for the second year in a row! Like last year, Quest Conference Center will provide the 2026 Ohio Brownfields Conference with a full floor, including ample space for educational sessions, networking, and exhibitor space.

This will be GOPC's fourth year hosting the state brownfields conference after GOPC launched the Revitalizing Ohio's Brownfields Initiative in Summer 2021 to serve as a resource following the state's investment in brownfields grants. GOPC's advocacy efforts, coupled with requests from local communities and the private sector, has secured nearly one billion dollars in brownfield grant funding through the Brownfield Remediation Program (BRP). GOPC continues to advocate for additional funding for brownfield grants.

GOPC is also currently finalizing the details for an Ohio Active Transportation conference in fall 2026!

We will confirm details soon, but GOPC plans to host a 1-day conference for leaders across the state who are interested and implementing Active Transportation infrastructure. You may have attended the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Active Transportation conference in 2025. We have confirmed with ODOT that they do not plan to hold an AT conference in 2026. We believe bringing together experts and interested leaders is extremely valuable and decided we would take up the reins in 2026.

This conference will focus on bike + pedestrian infrastructure, funding and financing for complete streets infrastructure improvements, successful strategies for educating the public, and more.

Planners, engineers, local government leaders, and advocates will gather to learn, network, and gain the tools they need to build safer streets and vibrant communities in Ohio.

We are looking at venues in Central Ohio and dates in late August/early September 2026 for the conference.

We are excited about the possibilities 2026 has in store and look forward to hosting you at both of these exciting events next year!
